Chuugai Shokuhin plays a central role in the Nakahiko Group.
The Nakahiko Group comprises three companies: CHUUGAI SHOKUHIN, CO., LTD., which primarily handles imported seafood products; NAKAHIKO CORPORATION, which is situated in the Toyosu Market; and CHUUGAI FOODS CORP., which is involved in the manufacturing and selling of seafood delicacies.
As the company that lies at the heart of the Nakahiko Group, we propose seafood products that leverage our corporate group's synergies and support cultures based on a piscivorous diet in Japan and around the globe.

01.A specialist trading company involved in the wholesaling of seafood products
As a specialist trading company involved in the wholesaling of seafood products, we purchase a variety of frozen seafood products from both domestic sources and suppliers from different regions around the world and then sell them to wholesale dealers, food processing manufacturers, supermarkets, and other customers.
The items that we handle vary widely and include fish roe, salmon, trout, eel, sea bream, cod, sweetfish, prawns, squid, octopus, and shellfish.
We also develop original processed products by leveraging our corporate group's synergies in collaboration with group companies NAKAHIKO CORPORATION, and CHUUGAI FOODS CORP.
02.Looking to the future whilevaluing our ties to people
The foundation of our business consists of people-to-people relationships.
It is precisely because there is no business that can be fully executed by our company working alone that we work tirelessly every day to build win-win relationships with not just our customers but also everyone else with whom we interact, including suppliers, affiliated companies, and employees.
In order to protect and ensure a future for limited fishery resources, we are also proactively engaged in initiatives towards the attainment of SDGs, such as by obtaining MSC CoC and MEL (Marine Eco-Label) certifications.
03.Continuing to take on challenges with a view to making further leaps forward
Having operated as an industry pioneer together with other group companies on the frontier of the seafood products sector since our founding, we seek to cultivate new channels where volume retailers like supermarkets can play a role while making sure to carefully maintain the existing channels of wholesale dealers that we have developed to date. We will also look into the viability of cultivating B2C operations and channels that could link us to overseas markets and would like to promote the appeal of seafood products in Japan and overseas while exploring the possibilities that such products inherently possess.
